In addition to modern cityscape, Hong Kong has world-class rock formations and other interesting geological features. In order to engage students to explore hidden natural treasures and enjoy the natural and cultural heritage, the Division of Graduate Studies (DGS) organized a visit to Hong Kong UNESCO Global Geopark on 7 April 2019.
More than 70 students and staff members joined the boat tour going around the calm inner sea of the northeast New Territories to geo-areas, enjoyed onshore sightseeing on Kat O and Ap Chau, as well as watching coral on the glass-bottom-boat near Hoi Ha Wan Marine Park. Our students and staff had a pleasurable and educational outdoor experience, and a good time to socialize and interact with each other.
