About PGDASS
The PGDASS programme is aimed for graduates of Bachelor’s degrees (obtained from non-English medium countries/institutions) who wish to pursue a taught master’s degree, but not meeting the English requirement for consideration for admission. The Programme will strengthen the English language proficiency and academic performance of students to enable them to progress smoothly to taught master’s degree programme. Besides, the Postgraduate Diploma programme aimed to prepare students with communication skills, a solid conceptual and analytical background in alignment with Lingnan’s graduate attributes.
Learning Outcomes
Upon successful completion of this course, students should be able to:
summarise accurately in writing the ideas from other sources
select and integrate relevant information from other sources into written texts
demonstrate their linguistic, analytical and argumentative skills in writing academic papers
communicate proficiently in aspects of speaking and writing and reflect on appropriate classroom discourse for presentations and discussions
