When I was a first year undergraduate student in humanities, I learned that"Culture is ordinary." In view of a busy work schedule in Hong Kong, it is very easy to fall into the trap of ignoring little things in our life.  In the process of completing my Master's in Cultural Studies, I find myself re-learning and unlearning what it means to live in our contemporary times. I am provided with an opportunity to stop and think through criticism or appreciation of our cultural life. When I learn something new, the most important thing is to keep progressing and to face the world with a critical mind. I know that it is not easy to make changes as change is hard and slow to come by, I hope that our (including every MCS classmate and teacher) insights and stories can gently overthrow our preconceived notions of the world.
