United Board Leadership Summit 2021

Higher education institutions are moving into “new territory” as their already initiated but varied engagements with the 4th IR have encountered the multiple disruptions brought about by the Covid Pandemic. The United Board Leadership Summit 2021, held online in April, 2021, was hosted, jointly, by the School of Graduate Studies of Lingnan University and the United Board for Christian Higher Education in Asia. The United Board is an organisation that works in collaboration with colleges and universities across Asia to promote whole-person education. A range of distinguished speakers were invited to present their research and share their perspective on higher education leadership. This cooperative event involved colleges and universities across Asia, which are strikingly associated with the Sustainable Development Goal 17 (SDG17): Partnerships for the Goals. Under the SDG17, leadership is significant and needed to guide the partnership development for the pandemic and post-pandemic era. This Summit is an example of how partnerships across regions are established to facilitate leadership and promote the partnership for sustainable development.
