Get a sponsorship to Scotland with your innovative ideas!

What is CGI U?

CGI U brought together more than 1,000 innovative student leaders to make Commitments to Action in CGI U's five focus areas: Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health. Through the CGI University Network, Resolution Project, Commitments Challenge, and other opportunities, over US$750,000 in funding will be available to select CGI U students to help them turn their ideas into action.

The Five Focus Areas

CGI U's five focus areas guide conversations within the CGI U community and allow CGI U students to form strategic networks around common issues. While concerns in Education, Environment and Climate Change, Peace and Human Rights, Poverty Alleviation, and Public Health are cross-cutting and often inextricably linked, CGI U asks commitment-makers to select the focus area most relevant to their work.
