Scholarships for Students with Disabilities

Students with disabilities are encouraged to contact the Student Services Centre (SSC), which will work out an assistance plan for individuals once the individual needs are known.

 

Students with disabilities are eligible to apply for the following:


  • Endeavour Merit Awards under the HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund

The Trustee of the HKSAR Government Scholarship Fund has approved to award Endeavour Merit Awards to Lingnan students with special education needs.  The scholarships shall be open for application by eligible students in January of each academic year.  Student Services Centre will send out email inviting applications.

  • S. K. Y. Lee & Lee Chi Hung Scholarship for Hearing Impaired Students 2018/19

The Simon K. Y. Lee and Lee Chi Hung Scholarship Fund offers an award of scholarship to the hearing impaired students for pursuing post-secondary education in Hong Kong.

  • The Hong Kong Society for the Deaf T. M. Gregory Memorial Scholarship for Hearing Impaired Students 2018/19

The Scholarship fund is offering a scholarship to hearing impaired students for pursuing overseas post-secondary education in the academic year 2018/19.

  • The Hong Kong Jockey Club Scholarship Scheme – Undergraduate Scholarship for Students with Special Education Needs

The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust will donate one scholarship to a full-time, local undergraduate student with special education needs.  The number of years of award will cover a student’s full period of study, subject to satisfactory academic performance, community service and recommendations by head of the institution.  The value of the scholarship will cover tuition fee and living expenses of the current academic year.

  • Lee Hysan Postgraduate Awards for Sign Linguistics and Deaf Education

With the generous donation of Lee Hysan Foundation to the Centre for Sign Linguistics and Deaf Studies of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, an award is set up to support local deaf or hearing talents to receive postgraduate training in Sign Linguistics, with the ultimate goal of nurturing more professionals committed to working for the betterment of the Hong Kong deaf community.
