INTRODUCTION
This lecture aims to introduce the application of blockchains in decentralized finance (DeFi). DeFi is an emerging financial technology that challenges centralized financial institutions, such as banks and brokerages. By enabling individuals to conduct peer-to-peer digital exchanges and removing the control that banks and other institutions have on money, financial products, and financial services, DeFi is expected to bring revolutionary changes to the traditional financial system and to promote financial inclusion. This lecture will introduce the technical basics of DeFi and its application in various scenarios.
