Visual Studies gave me a new perspective on how arts could work in different ways!

After studying in VS I got into the educational field to work as a secondary school teacher for a few years. Besides sharing knowledge and skills, what I enjoyed most was how arts could connect people. In VS I learned that the power of arts not only serves for the sake of beauty or art itself, it relates to the wellbeing of all human! I moved forward to pursue a Master of Arts in School Guidance & Counselling in Chinese University of Hong Kong and then later I studied for another Master of Expressive Arts Therapy in Hong Kong University to become a registered expressive arts therapist. I currently work for different NGOs by providing expressive arts psychoeducation workshops for underprivileged children and children with special educational needs, developing child-centered play learning experiences for parents and children, and also some private practice in therapy work.

By working in art-related fields and studies, I often met different graduates from our VS program. This was such an inspiring experience for people who want to make Arts become part of their lives in different ways!
