Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme
Eligible MACAH students will be invited by the Programme Office to submit applications for the Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowships Scheme. Each awardee will receive a scholarship to a cap of HK$120,000.

It has been a great pleasure to study the MACAH programme, with the Targeted Taught Postgraduate Programmes Fellowship. It has truly been an eye-opening experience. I gained a wide spectrum of knowledge about art history and the arts industry. Particularly, the inspiring discussion about “provenance”, which a concept I had not heard before enrolling in this programme. Even though I do not know what the future holds, I can picture myself having a position in the creative industry, as a museum educator, conservator, or curator, etc. I am thankful for this opportunity that has given me a clearer vision and directions for my career path.

Fascinated by Art and Museums, I enrolled the Master of Art in Curating and Art History at Lingnan University to explored further. Through the learning and explores of various topics from the course, it allows me to strengthen my knowledges of arts and extend my horizons in of new areas through different perspectives, such as especially towards museum learnings and provenance research in arts.
The diversity of classmates also enriched the learning experience. Ideas and interests in art theories and exhibitions curations were exchanged and put into practice during the courses. These intellectual learnings allows me to have a critical and practical approach towards art practices. The course has proved rooms for individual studies on each topics, which enhance my critical thinking and ideas developments in art history and curatorial approach. Surely these learnings will be useful tools that equip me for my future career development.

My study at the MACAH program helped me break stereotypes and broaden my definition of art. The diverse curriculum allowed me to accumulate professional knowledge in both curating and art history. With the patient and constructive guidance from Dr Michelle Huang, I completed a dissertation on Chinese women artists in Qing. The critical thinking, research and writing skills that I obtained have enhanced my working ability at the gallery. Last summer, I had a chance to work as an intern at Art Museum, CUHK. The experience granted me more practical training in museum operation and honed my skills on art education. Thanks to the Graduate Scholarship, I have more opportunities to equip myself with abundant knowledge in the field too. My time spent with MACAH program has truly broadened my horizon and deepened my understanding of the art world.
