《炫》─ 中樂演奏會

Description
This evening concert will be performed by seven local young musicians who all received musical training from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. After their graduation, they have pursued different career and academic lives. One became a professional musician, some pursued further studies, and one worked for a record company. All in all, performing stage is the most fascinating and the greatest working place for them to show their musical talents, even though they have showed their strengths in their current positions. Different genres will be included in this performance, such as solo and ensemble pieces in different musical styles.

About CHAN Chi-chun (dizi)
Chan Chi-chun receives his Master of Philosophy in Ethnomusicology from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. His study relates to funeral music in Hong Kong. He also starts dabbling in Naamyam (Cantonese narrative singing) recently and has been allured by its timbre and improvisation.

About CHAN Chi-yuk (dizi)
Chan Chi-yuk is the first Hong Kong-born dizi player working in the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra. He is also pursuing his Master of Music at the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts.

About LAL Ka-tai (zhongruan)
Lai Ka-tai graduates from Shanghai Conservatory of Music and is awarded the Master of Arts in Music (zhongruan). His teachers include Liu Xing and Qiao Jian-zhong. He has performed with Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and the Chinese Orchestra of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts. His transcription of Cello Unaccompanied Suite by J.S. Bach to zhongruan is recorded in CD publication, which is a CD of zhongruan music published by Bandu Record Company in 2009. He is now the creative and development director of Zheng Arts.

About MOK Wai-leung (zheng)
Mok Wai-leung receives his Bachelor of Music and Master of Music from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, and is now the chairman and artistic planning director of Zheng Arts, consultant and adjudicator of Chinese Music Section of Speech and Music Recital Development Foundation, and vice-chairman of Zheng Music.

About WONG Shun-wing (souna)
Wong Shun-wing is currently a souna instructor of Music Office and Hong Kong Institute of Education. He has also worked as a freelance musician in the Hong Kong Chinese Orchestra and Hong Kong Philharmonic Orchestra.

About WONG Tze-sau (sheng)
Wong Tze-sau is currently a freelance musician, and is the first musician to transcribe Unaccompanied Violin Sonata and Partita by J.S. Bach to sheng. This transcription has been performed in his Europe tour and has shown a remarkable success.

About WOO Pak-tuen (huqin)
Woo Pak-tuen is a graduate of Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, majoring in computer science. He then pursues his master degree from the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, majoring in banhu, gaohu and conducting. Currently, he works for both Music School and Chinese Opera School of the Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts as an adjunct lecturer.

簡介
音樂會由七位本地年青音樂家擔綱演出。他們均於香港演藝學院接受音樂教育。畢業後，各人也有不同的發展：有加入職業中樂團成為專業樂手；有到不同院校繼續學業；亦有成立中國音樂網站，從事宣揚中樂及樂器銷售的工作。雖然各人已經在不同的「舞台」展現他們的才華，但他們最為醉心和自豪的，仍然是「演奏」舞台。

陳子晉（笛）
香港中文大學民族音樂學哲學碩士，研究課題為廣東吹打樂及香港殯儀音樂。近年涉足南音拍和，尤鍾情其音色及即興性。

陳子旭（笛）
香港首位土生土長的香港中樂團笛子演奏家，現於香港演藝學院修讀音樂碩士課程。

黎家棣（中阮）
畢業於上海音樂學院，獲文學碩士學位（中阮），師從劉星及音樂學家喬建中教授。曾和他合作的樂團有香港中樂團及香港演藝學院中樂團等。2007年改編巴哈的大提琴無伴奏組曲，並收錄於2009年由半度音樂發行的中阮演奏專輯《音樂瞬間》中。現為「箏炫」創意及發展總監。

莫偉樑（箏）
香港演藝學院首屆音樂(古箏)碩士。「箏炫 - 香港古箏資訊網」及「箏音樂」創辦人。現為「箏炫 」主席及藝術策劃總監，朗誦及音樂推廣協會中樂組顧問及評判，「箏音樂」副主席等。積極推廣古箏藝術文化，主辨古箏音樂會、講座等活動。

黃順榮（嗩吶）
音樂事務處及香港教育學院嗩吶導師，亦曾為香港中樂團及香港管弦樂團特約樂師。

黃子修（笙）
自由音樂人，首創將巴赫《無伴奏小提琴奏鳴曲與組曲》中數部作品移植為三十六簧高音鍵笙獨奏曲，並於歐洲巡迴演出期間演奏，備受注目。

胡柏端（胡琴）
畢業於香港科技大學，主修計算機科學。後獲香港演藝學院板胡、高胡及指揮雙碩士，現為該院音樂學院及戲曲學院兼職講師。
