Description
This concert presents a varied selection of American choral music. It highlights some of the significant cultural traditions and historical moments in American life as expressed through song. It showcases both major American composers and grassroots styles such as Negro spirituals and regional folk melodies. The concert includes both sacred and secular music, including religious tunes that set the mood for Easter week.
