簡介

上世紀初廣東人流行花鳥魚蟲，品茶聽曲，絲竹會友，之所以可能，全因為社會環境許可。祖上有屋者，閒時招呼老友不在話下，祠堂門前，至村口榕樹頭，皆可讓人停留聚集樂會。潮州地區過去更有閒館，專為人們一起玩音樂而設，不似今天香港只有卡拉OK房、麻雀房，而傳統讓人操曲共樂的閒館卻早已被人遺忘。

研究中國音樂多年的余少華教授今聯同其友好，一邊演奏絲竹音樂，一邊閒話家常，樂敘嶺南，以曲會友。知音者豈能錯過？

Description

At the beginning of the last century, it was popular for people in the Guangdong area to get together with friends to play music, to enjoy tea and to appreciate their pet birds and insects.  This was made possible by the ambiance of society then.

For those who have their means, they could certainly entertain friends at home; and for those of lesser advantage, open spaces of communal halls or even under the village trees were just as ideal for musical gatherings.  In the Chaozhou area, there were even leisure houses dedicated to musical gatherings, something much different from Hong Kong today where only karaoke and majong parlors are left as entertainment establishments.  The tradition of the leisure houses for music playing has been long forgotten.

Renowned music scholar Yu Siu-wah will play music with his musical friends at Lingnan. Audience will be able to have a taste of the musical gatherings of the past, something not to be missed for music lovers.
