Adverse Weather Arrangement

  • If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is still in force or will be hoisted in the morning of the check-in day (27 Jul), the following arrangements will apply with 10:30 a.m. as the cut-off time: If the signal is lowered to No. 3 or below before 10:30 a.m., activities will proceed as scheduled. If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is still in force or will be hoisted after 10:30 a.m., all activities and check-in of the day (27 Jul) will be cancelled.
  • During the period from 12:00 n.n. to 9:00 p.m. on July 27, in case of Typhoon Signal No. 3 being hoisted, if the Observatory announces that Typhoon Signal no. 8 or above will be hoisted in the following hours, all activities scheduled to be held within the next one hour will be cancelled. Participants should suspend any indoor or outdoor activities on campus immediately and leave the campus safely. Alumni who have already checked in for accommodation should check out at the hostel lobby and then leave the campus. Alumni having difficulty leaving the campus may choose to stay in the hostel after registering at the hostel lobby.
  • If the Observatory announces after 9:00 p.m. on July 27 that Typhoon Signal no. 8 or above will be hoisted in the following hours, all evening activities will be cancelled. However, for safety reasons, all alumni should stay in the hostel and will not be asked for check-out.
  • All arrangements for Typhoon Signal no. 8 above apply in case of Black Rainstorm Warning being issued.
  • When Black Rainstorm Warning is in force, all booths, workshops, and mass games will be suspended.
  • 6. Under aforementioned adverse weather conditions, all arrangements will be subject to the latest announcements on Facebook, Instagram, WeChat, and WhatsApp Community made by Alumni Relations Team by 10:30 a.m. on July 27.

  • If Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above is still in force or will be hoisted after 9:00 a.m. on July 28, breakfast session and all activities on that day will be cancelled.
  • In case of Typhoon Signal No. 3 being hoisted on 28 Jul, if the Observatory announces that Typhoon Signal no. 8 or above will be hoisted in the following hours, all activities scheduled to be held within the next one hour will be cancelled. All alumni should suspend any indoor or outdoor activities on campus immediately and leave the campus safely. Participants who are staying in hostel should check out at the hostel lobby immediately after packing and then leave the campus safely.
  • All arrangements for Typhoon Signal no. 8 above apply in case of Black Rainstorm Warning being issued.
  • When Black Rainstorm Warning is in force, all booths, workshops, and mass games will be suspended.
