Alumni Homecoming Weekend 2023
The Alumni Homecoming Weekend 2023 was an absolute blast. As the annual signature alumni event for all Lingnanians, it was held on campus on 29 July and 30 July, attracting around 300 participants, including alumni with their families and friends. The theme for this year's event was "Lingnan Fun Fair," and it definitely lived up to its name!
There were so many activities to enjoy during the two days and one night. The Mini Social Enterprise Bazaar, Rolling Books, NFT Pixel Art Workshops, Coffee Tasting Workshops, and showcase of smart table tennis were just a few of the highlights. It was great to see alumni and their families having a blast throughout the event, laughing and sharing memories together.
But the fun didn't stop there! The game booths hosted by Lingnan University Alumni Association (Hong Kong), Lingnan University Undergraduate Alumni Association, and Lingnan University Postgraduate Alumni Association respectively were also a huge hit! The Executive Committee members did an incredible job introducing their associations and activity plans to the alumni, inspiring many to join their membership.
One of the event's highlights was the interactive session with Prof S. Joe Qin, LU's President Designate and Acting President. This was Prof Qin's first year as a new Lingnanian participating in the Homecoming Event, and it was great to get to know him better and gain insights into the University's latest developments. Participants enjoyed chatting with Prof Qin and learning about the future development of the University.
We can't wait for the next Homecoming event and to see more alumni join in on the fun!
