Delegation of entrepreneurs from Jiangsu visits Lingnan University

iangsu Youth Entrepreneurs Belt and Road Initiative International (Hong Kong and Macao) Training Programme, organised by Jiangsu Federation of Industry and Commerce (Jiangsu General Chamber of Commerce), Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of Jiangsu Province, and Sunwah Onshine Education Group, subsidiary of Sun Wah Group of Hong Kong, with a delegation of about 20 entrepreneurs visited Lingnan University on 7 June 2018. The visit helped strengthen the communications between Jiangsu and Hong Kong, enhanced the connection with industrial and commercial sectors, especially for the development of talents cultivation. The delegation consisted of representatives from construction, information technology, automotive manufacturing, textiles, environmental protection, finance and engineering sectors.

The delegation visited major campus facilities and learned about the latest development of Lingnan’s liberal arts education, and met with Prof Ivy Yang, Associate Director of Hong Kong Institute of Business Studies and Director of Entrepreneurship Initiative, Prof Eric See-To, Research Assistant Professor of Department of Computing and Decision Sciences, Dr Helen Han, Senior Lecturer of Department of Accountancy, and colleagues from career development team of Student Services Centre and Office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs. Discussion and views on the operation of private enterprises, economic development in Hong Kong, the development opportunities of one belt one road initiative and the Greater Bay Area and the acquisition and cultivation of quality talents had been shared.
