About Registration of "Alumni Homecoming 2024":

Q1 Can I bring family or friends to participate in "Alumni Homecoming 2024"?
Yes, alumni are welcome to bring family or friends to participate in " Alumni Homecoming 2024". Each alumna/alumnus may bring up to 4 family members or friends to participate (with a maximum of 3 children aged 11 or below).

Q2 How much is the registration fee for “Alumni Homecoming 2024”? What is included in the registration fee?
The early bird special offer is available until 31 May 2024. The adult fee is HK$500 per person and for child aged 4 to 11 is HK$250 per person. Children aged 3 or below can participate for free. (Regular prices for adult and child aged 4 to 11 are HK$600 and HK$300 per person respectively.)

The registration fee includes the dinner and accommodation for the first day, a HK$50 breakfast voucher, access to game booths, sports facilities, and ice cream booth. Each paid participant will receive a souvenir bag. The registration fee will be charged to the credit card provided in registration form, and no receipts will be issued. Please note that seats are limited and first-come-first-served. All registration fees paid are non-refundable.

Q3 How can I register for “Alumni Homecoming 2024”?
You can register by completing the online enrolment form. The enrolment deadline is 30 June 2024.
 
Q4 How do I know if my enrolment has been accepted?
All successful applicants will receive email notifications on or before 19 July 2024. Therefore, please ensure that you provide the correct email address and monitor the emails from Alumni Relations Team regarding "Alumni Homecoming 2024" for any updates and information.
 
Q5 Is walk-in registration acceptable for the programmes and activities of “Alumni Homecoming 2024”?
Since event logistics such as accommodation, catering and workshop materials must be prepared in advance, walk-in registration is NOT acceptable.

Q6 What will be the bad weather arrangements for “Alumni Homecoming 2024”?
If Hong Kong Observatory hoists Typhoon Signal No. 8 or above or issues Black Rainstorm Warning on the event day, the event will be cancelled. For details of adverse weather arrangements, please visit "Adverse Weather Arrangements".

About Accommodation Arrangement:

Q7 What facilities and amenities are provided in the dormitory?
The hostel rooms are double rooms. Each floor is equipped with a shared pantry and bathroom. A set of bedding, including pillows, blankets, and bed sheets, will be provided for participants. Please note that participants are responsible for bringing their own personal items such as toothbrushes, toothpaste, cups, towels, slippers, combs, shower gel, and shampoo. Please note that the shared bathrooms in the hostel are for communal use and not designated for any specific participant’s exclusive use.
 
Q8 If the total number of participants in my group is odd, what arrangement will be made for room allocation?
If the number of participants in a group is odd, you might be possible to be assigned to share a room with participants from another group. If you request a separate room, an additional fee of HK$100 will be charged for single room. In cases where participants are unwilling to pay the additional fee, they may be assigned to share a room with participants of the same gender. Please note that participants may not object to or withdraw from the event based on this room allocation arrangement.

Q9 Can I request for specific hostel or room?
Due to the large number of participants, specific hostel options will not be provided. However, if participants wish to stay in the same room, they can indicate the same alphabetical letter under the "Room Arrangement" section.

Q10 How can I complete the registration for check-in?
To complete the check-in registration, participants simply need to provide the group number, which will be provided in the enrolment confirmation email. Participants will be required to collect the access badges, hostel room keys, and souvenir bags for all participants in their group and distribute them accordingly.

Q11 What are the check-out time and procedures for leaving the hostel?
The check-out time is from 10:00 to 15:30 on 28 July 2024. All participants are required to check-out within this period. To complete the check-out procedures, please proceed to the G/F lobby of the hostel. Participants are responsible for returning their bedding, including pillows, blankets, and bed sheets, in the designated storage room on each floor.
 
Q12 What should I do if the hostel key is lost or damaged​?
If you lose or damage the hostel key, please inform the duty staff of the Alumni Homecoming 2024 immediately. Please note that there will be an administrative fee of HK$200 for each lost or damaged key/keycard that you will be required to pay.

About Banquet Arrangment:

​​Q13 Where is the banquet located?
The dinner will be held at Lingnan Lau and Chinese cuisine will be served. Seating arrangements for the dinner will be made by Alumni Relations Team based on the registration groups. Participants may have the opportunity to sit with participants from other groups, and no separate notification will be given. Detailed information regarding the arrangements will be provided in the enrolment confirmation email.

About Workshops:

Q14 How can I join the workshops?
“Alumni Homecoming 2024” offers multiple workshops for participants to attend. However, due to limited capacity, the workshops only accept participants who have registered online. On-site registration will not be accepted. Participants are kindly requested to arrive at the venue 10 minutes before the start of the workshop and present their "Alumni Homecoming 2024" access batch for check-in.
