Investment Chat for Charity Fundraising Dinner

Initiated by Investment Chat for Charity, the “Investment Chat for Charity Fundraising Dinner” was held on 8 September 2022 with aims to share and exchange investment perspectives, and at the same time, raise funds to support the University’s “First Generation University Education Fund”. Reputable Fund Managers including Mr Oscar Choi, Mr Alex Au, Mr Walter Chang, Mr Will Chung and Mr Larry Hung were invited to share their investment tips and strategies, while a Lingnan alumnus, Mr Stephen Chin (History, 2019), delivered a sharing on his fruitful university life at Lingnan to the guests joining the Dinner and online live broadcast.

The funds raised from the Dinner will be used to support the “First Generation University Education Fund”, which helps students who have financial needs and are the first generation in their families receiving a university education to participate in various student development programmes in the areas of student exchange, internship, Service-Learning, hostel life and innovation and entrepreneurship. On behalf of the University, Mr Andrew Yao Cho Fai, BBS, JP, Chairman of the Council, Mr Mason Wu Shang Tun, Council Member and Chairman of the Institutional Advancement Committee and Ms Fonia Wong Yeung Fong, Council Member and Member of Institutional Advancement Committee presented Certificates of Appreciation to the generous Donors at the Dinner.
