Lingnan Foundation Visits Lingnan University

Lingnan University welcomed representatives from the Lingnan Foundation (the Foundation) on 18 September 2023.
Dr Leighton Chan, Dr Ding-Jo Currie, and Mr Ian Heuer visited the LU Jockey Club Gerontech-X Lab and the Lingnan Entrepreneurship Initiative office, witnessing technological advancements for the elder community and nurtured entrepreneurial talent within the University. Also, they met with students who have participated in exchange programmes, gaining an understanding of how the programmes have broadened the students' horizons and enriched their university experience.
A highlight of the visit was a meeting with Lingnan University's new President, Prof S. Joe Qin. They discussed the University's strategic vision, upcoming initiatives, and the vital role that the Foundation plays in supporting the University's mission.
Prof Qin expressed gratitude for the Foundation’s unwavering support, acknowledging their contributions to student empowerment and academic enrichment through service learning. The visit strengthened the partnership, fostering continued collaboration on future projects between the University and the Foundation.
