Lingnan Roundtable for Learning & Networking – Education
Introducing the seventh Lingnan Roundtable - Education. The event was held at Lingnan University Alumni Association (HK) Primary School followed by a tea gathering. We were honored to have two professional alumni from Education Industry, Principal NG Hiu Ling and Vice-Principal WAN Kwok Wing, as our guest speakers. They shared insights with alumni and students, discussing their own experiences of becoming a teacher, and the challenges and current landscape of Education Industry in Hong Kong. Over 30 attendees participated and engaged in the event.
Principal NG emphasized the importance of having a clear goal and passion on education and students. She highlighted that “Teachers shouldn’t be afraid of putting extra efforts”. Vice-Principal WAN shared the considerations before entering this industry, including your patience, emotional intelligence, and recognition of your own limitations.
During chit-chat session, Sunny LIN, the MC and a year 4 Lingnan student, sought advice from guest speakers regarding concerns about entering Education Industry. We believed that all participants gain a deeper understanding of the workings of Education Industry.
