Lingnan Roundtable for Learning & Networking – Innovation and Technology
Stepping into 2023, a brand-new event series “Lingnan Roundtable for Learning & Networking” will be organized regularly for Lingnan University alumni to connect with each other and professionals in their field of interest. In each session, a specific sector will be focused and professionals in that sector will share their career stories and valuable insights with participants, followed by a dinner for networking.
The first session of “Lingnan Roundtable for Learning & Networking” was successfully held on 9 February 2023 (Thursday) at Lingnan Club with over 50 participants, including alumni, senior executives from various industries, and staff members of Lingnan University. Focusing on the Innovation and Technology sector, the two guest speakers Mr Felix Wong [Partnership and Business Manager, Cherrypicks] and alumnus Mr Michael So [Chief Consultant, Innovation, Mirum Hong Kong] shared their valuable insights on utilizing people skills to win business in the sector and the latest development of ChatGPT respectively. The participants were captivated by their sharing and exchanged ideas enthusiastically with each other.
Apart from the guest speakers’ sharing, Prof Lau Chi-pang, Associate Vice-President (Academic Affairs and External Relations) and Mr Michael So also shared their views on how liberal arts students can stand out in the era of innovation and technology.
It was indeed a fruitful gathering which brought together like-minded alumni to exchange ideas, stay up-to-date in their field of interest, and expand professional network. Feeling interested? The “Lingnan Roundtable” will be held regularly, please stay tuned for our future events!
