LUA and LUAF establish Scholarship and Bursary Scheme at Lingnan University
Prof Li Jingyuan (3rd left), Head of Department of Finance and Insurance, received the donation cheque at the LUA Convention held on 19 August 2022 together with the representatives from other benefiting local Universities.
With the generous donations from the Life Underwriters Association of Hong Kong (the LUA) and LUA Foundation (the LUAF) to Lingnan University, the LUA and LUAF Scholarship and Bursary Scheme (the Scheme) was established in 2022/23 for five consecutive years with an annual donation of HK$100,000 to support students majoring in the Risk and Insurance Management ( RIM) Programme.
The Scheme comprises Subject Prizes, Best Improved RIM Student Awards and Bursaries which recognise students’ academic achievements in life insurance related courses, encourage students who have strived for academic improvements, and subsidise financially needy RIM students respectively.
