Naming Ceremony of Jonathan K S Choi Art Studio

Lingnan University organised the Naming Ceremony of Jonathan KS Choi Art Studio on 3 April 2018 in appreciation of Dr Jonathan Choi Koon-shum’s generous donation in setting up the “Jonathan Choi Student Exchange and Internship Scheme”. Officiating guests of the Ceremony included Dr Jonathan Choi, Mrs Janice Choi, Mr Rex Auyeung, Chairman of the Council of Lingnan University, and Prof Leonard K Cheng, President of Lingnan University.

From the 2018/19 to 2021/22 academic years, the Jonathan Choi Student Exchange and Internship Scheme will provide financial aids to full-time undergraduate students of Lingnan University who have financial difficulties in participating in Mainland and overseas exchange programmes.  The Scheme will also provide subsidies to full-time undergraduate students of the University to join internship programmes in companies recommended by Dr Jonathan Choi in Mainland and overseas cities. The art studio is located on the third floor of New Academic Block at the Lingnan campus, which serves as a studio for Lingnan’s Artists-in-Residence and classroom for the Department of Visual Studies.  It will also be used as a venue for events such as internal and public arts workshops, seminars and exhibitions.
