Lingnan University organised the Naming Ceremony of LEO Dr David P. Chan Data Science Programme Learning Resources Centre on 20 December 2021 in appreciation of the generous donations from Dr David P Chan and the Lingnan Education Organization in establishing the “LEO Dr David P. Chan Data Science Undergraduate Programme”.

Officiating guests of the Ceremony included Dr David P Chan, Mr Patrick Wong, Chairman of Lingnan Education Organization, Mr Andrew Yao, Chairman of the Council, Mr Mason Wu, Council Member and Chairman of the Institutional Advancement Committee, and Prof Leonard K Cheng, President of Lingnan University.

The LEO Dr David P. Chan Data Science Undergraduate Programme was established in the academic year 2019/20 under the management of the Department of Computing and Decision Sciences of the Faculty of Business. The Programme emphasizes on providing a balanced coverage of computer science, statistics/mathematics and artificial intelligence, with a strong liberal arts foundation.
