Naming Ceremony of Mr and Mrs Tung Choi Hing Study Room

The “Naming Ceremony of Mr and Mrs Tung Choi Hing Study Room” was held on 8 February 2018 in appreciation of the generosity of Mr and Mrs Tung Chung Ho in supporting the establishment of the “Mr and Mrs Tung Chung Ho First Generation University Education Fund” (the “Fund”). Officiating guests of the ceremony included Mr Tung Chung Ho, Mrs Christy Tung, Mr Simon Ip, Deputy Chairman of the Council and Prof Leonard K Cheng, President of Lingnan University.

The Fund is established to support Lingnan students with financial needs who are the first generation in their families receiving university education. The students will have more opportunities to participate in student exchange programmes, internship programme, Service-Learning programmes and hostel life. In recognition of the generous contribution from Mr and Mrs Tung Chung Ho, the 24-hour study room located in Simon and Eleanor Kwok Building was named “Mr and Mrs Tung Choi Hing Study Room”.
