Scholarship Awardees Meet With Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation

Ms Tobey Yung, (Middle on the front row) Project Manager of Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation, received by the staff of Office of Global Education and Office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs of Lingnan University and shared her advice to awardees (2nd row) of Lingnan University – Chow Tai Fook Student Exchange Scholarships.

Six awardees of Lingnan University – Chow Tai Fook Student Exchange Scholarships met with the donor, Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation on 15 August 2018, to share their firsthand exchange experience with the new awardees.

The returnees went to Germany, France, South Korea and Austria in 2016/17 and 2017/18, apart from achieving academic excellence, they had learnt the local culture and developed their interests in foreign languages. Sharing their exchange experiences to the two awardees who will go on exchange in Romania and the United Kingdom in the next academic year, are invaluable.

The host institute in Romania is a new partner institute to the University. The awardee was excited to be one of the first batch of Lingnan students to enjoy the study in Romania and have cultural exchange with locals. Another awardee who has a passion in English linguistics, chooses the United Kingdom as her host country in order to enhance the ability and efficiency in the use of English through daily life practice.

Ms Tobey Yung, Project Manager of Chow Tai Fook Charity Foundation encouraged the awardees to have sufficient preparation before departure in order to adapt to a new environment and attain fruitful global learning experience.
