Officiating guests of the Ceremony included Mr Wong Chi Wai, Chairman of Hong Kong Chiu Chow General Association, Ms Katherine Cheung Marn Kay, Treasurer of the Council, and Professor Lau Chi-pang, Associate Vice-President (Academic Affairs and External Relations) and Acting Director of Institutional Advancement and Public Affairs.

Professor Lau stated in his welcome speech, "Three exquisite embroidered robes will be displayed in the Lingnan campus, allowing students, staff, and guests to appreciate these cultural treasures up close. This provides a valuable opportunity to understand traditional Chinese craftsmanship and culture, and promotes cultural exchange between Chiu Chow and Hong Kong. These traditional craftworks carry the historical culture and wisdom of our nation, showcasing the beauty of Chinese culture. This aligns with the University’s mission in promoting and inheriting Chinese culture, enabling students to recognize and understand traditional Chinese culture, fostering their national confidence and sense of identity, and ensuring the continuous vitality of traditional culture."

The Anji Holy King Robe is a garment worn by Anji Holy King, at the Qinglong Ancient Temple in Chiu Chow. It is made of Chaozhou Embroidery, which has been recognized as a national-level intangible cultural heritage. The robe is embroidered with Dragon and Ao, while the robes for the first and second ladies are embroidered with Dragon and Phoenix respectively. The design is based on the traditional Teochew Opera costume called "Mangpao," incorporating elements of Teochew Opera costumes, Chiu Chow customs and architecture. The application of Chaozhou Embroidery techniques gives the patterns on the robe a three-dimensional, embossed effect, showcasing exquisite craftsmanship. These are precious artifacts with significant cultural value in Chiu Chow's traditional culture.
