Tin Ka Ping Mainland Scholars and Senior Administrators Exchange Programme 2016

“Tin Ka Ping Mainland Scholars and Senior Administrators Exchange Programme 2016” was held from 13 to 17 November 2016.  Mr Tin Hing Sin, Chairman of Tin Ka Ping Foundation, and Prof Leonard K Cheng, President of Lingnan University officiated at the kick-off ceremony on 14 November.

A total of 13 participants, including presidents, vice-presidents and senior administrators from Shanghai International Studies University, Shanghai Normal University, Shandong University, Shandong Normal University, Renmin University of China, Beihua University, Henan University, Henan Normal University, Harbin Institute of Technology, Fudan University, Capital Normal University and Soochow University, participated in the programme. The scholars and senior administrators met with professors, students, heads and representatives of academic departments and administrative units to learn about Lingnan’s mission, distinguishing features and practice of liberal arts education in respect of curriculums, students’ development, as well as related supporting services and facilities.

The Programme is a philanthropic act of Dr Tin Ka Ping, a keen supporter of Lingnan’s liberal arts education. Since 2008, the Foundation has donated to establish “Tin Ka Ping Education Fund” in Lingnan, to finance the Programme with the aim of promoting liberal arts education in mainland China every year.
