The China Economic Research Programme (CERP) of Lingnan University, in collaboration with the Global Affairs Office of The Education University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong Higher Education Convergence, the Hong Kong Youth Association, and the Greater Bay Area Dream Hub for Youth, proudly hosted the Opening Ceremony of the "Linking You to Innovation - Entrepreneurial Training and Internship Programme 2024-Shenzhen."
The "Linking You to Innovation - Entrepreneurial Training and Internship Programme 2024-Shenzhen" brought together around fifty Hong Kong youths for a five-week internship program in Shenzhen, spanning from June 14 to July 20. This initiative aims to provide students with hands-on experience in various rapidly developing sectors in Mainland China, including cultural creativity, high-tech industries, and entrepreneurship. Dr. Philip Wong, Deputy Director of the China Economic Research Programme of Lingnan University, expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the Hong Kong S.A.R and the Authority of Qianhai Shenzhen-Hong Kong Modern Service Industry Cooperation Zone of Shenzhen Municipality for their unwavering support. He also extended his appreciation to the Shenzhen Women's Chamber of Commerce for their efforts in coordinating with enterprises to offer valuable internship positions. During the event, Dr. Wong shared his enriching experiences living in Shenzhen and encouraged the students to absorb knowledge, gain work experience, explore future career paths, and make the most of this invaluable opportunity.
