Programme Introduction

The Bachelor of Social Sciences (Honours) in Global Economics and Banking is a new self-financed 4-year programme offered by the Department of Economics. Hong Kong is an international financial centre which has been increasingly integrated with the Chinese and global economies. The Programme aims to train more young professionals to meet the emerging manpower needs of the banking and finance sector especially in Hong Kong and the Greater Bay Area. The main thrust of the Programme lies in its design as a broad-based and internationally oriented programme attuned to the fast-changing world of international economics and banking.
