Report on a Confirmed COVID-19 Case

Dear Colleagues and Students,

 

HSE Committee would like to update colleagues and students on the following:

 

The University was informed of a confirmed case of COVID-19 concerning an MPhil student in the Department of Cultural Studies, which was confirmed last night, 17 January 2021. 

  

According to available information, the student, who is not hostel resident, last visited LU campus on 11 January 2021. The student stayed in the office area of Ho Sin Hang Building, and had not visited any other places on campus. No close contacts were identified on campus. 

  

This morning, the University has thoroughly disinfected the areas concerned. 

  

The University wishes the student a speedy recovery, and will continue to closely monitor the situation, as well as take necessary actions to minimise potential health risk within the University community.
