For Core Curriculum (CC) courses, credit transfer/course exemption shall normally be limited to two Common Core courses and 15 credits of Cluster courses.
Effective from the 2021-22 intake, credit transfer/course exemption of CC courses may be granted or considered in the following ways:

Block Credit Transfer for Graduates from Local Sub-degree Programmes Accredited with Level 4 of the Qualifications Framework for Senior Year Entry | ||
Upon admission, eligible students would be granted transfer of 21 credits in CC comprising 6 credits in the Common Core (CCC8011 Critical Thinking: Analysis and Argumentation and CCC8012 The Making of Hong Kong) and 15 credits in the Clusters. | |||

Block Credit Transfer for Students/Graduates from Local Sub-degree Programmes Accredited with Level 4 of the Qualifications Framework for First-Year-First-Degree (FYFD) Entry | ||
Upon admission, eligible students would be granted transfer of 12 credits in CC comprising any four Cluster courses. | |||

Course-based Credit Transfer/Course Exemption | ||
Complying to the Academic Regulations, a student can, on application, be granted credit transfer/course exemption of CC courses if he/she has completed a course in another tertiary institution that | |||
(i) carried the same relative weight in terms of credit in the degree programmes of that institution; and | |||
(ii) aligned with the aims and Programme Intended Learning Outcomes of CC and/or fulfilled the Intended Learning Outcomes of the Cluster concerned. |
