"Virtual Reality" Documentary Series

The“Virtual Reality”Documentary Series, organised by the Core Curriculum and General Education Office (OCC), Centre for Cinema Studies and CNEX Foundation on 9 and 16 April 2015 on campus, attracted students from Lingnan as well as local secondary schools.

Upon the first screening of the film “State of Play”, Mr. Cheng Lap, Founder of Kowloonia, shared his views on the video game cultures in Hong Kong, while Prof. Lisa Leung of Cultural Studies talked about the background of the video game industry in Korea. With the screening of the closing film “Digital Nation”, the “Virtual Reality” Series marked a well-received attempt, as a General Education event outside of the curriculum, to inspire students to think critically about global complex issues of technology with this generation.
