Visit from Beijing Information Science and Technology University (17/9/2025)

On September 17, Professor Zhang Jian, Vice President of Beijing Information Science and Technology University, led a delegation to visit Lingnan University. Members of the delegation included Professor Zhang Li, Director of the Finance Department, Professor Yang Hongbo, Dean of the School of Continuing Education, and Associate Professor Zhang Yan, Deputy Director of the Office of External Cooperation and Liaison. On the part of Lingnan University, the reception was led by Professor  KWONG Sam Tak Wu, Associate Vice President (Strategic Research) and Dean of the Graduate School, who also holds the Lee Wing Hong Chair Professor of Computational Intelligence. Professor Shen Jiaxing, Assistant Professor of the Artificial Intelligence Division at the School of Data Science, Mr NG Kam Ho Jack, Assistant Manager of Lingnan Institute of Further Education, and Ms. Zhou Mengya, Senior Administrative Officer of  the Office of National Engagement also attended the reception. 

Professor  KWONG Sam Tak Wu, and Vice President Zhang Jian delivered speeches respectively, introducing the disciplinary advantages and scientific research achievements of the two universities in fields such as artificial intelligence, computer science, information technology, and engineering. In the discussion session, the two sides exchanged on topics including the application of artificial intelligence, the joint cultivation of talents in information technology, with a particular focus on the complementary space between Lingnan University's liberal arts feature and Beijing Information Science and Technology University's strengths in engineering.
