Visit from Yunnan University (27/5/2026)

On May 27, 2026, a delegation led by Prof. Chen Keqing, Vice President of Yunnan University, visited Lingnan University (LU). The delegation included key members such as Xu Jin, Director of the Asset and Laboratory Management Division; Wu Qifei, Party Secretary of the Logistics Service Support Centre; Fang Yun, Deputy Director of the Infrastructure Construction Department; Liu Yinshan, Head of the Planning and Design Section of the Infrastructure Construction Department; as well as representatives from Yunnan University’s construction team.

LU’s delegation, headed by Prof. Yao Xin, Vice President (Research and Innovation) and Tong Tin Sun Chair Professor of Machine Learning, extended a warm welcome to the guests. The LU team also included WONG Chiu Lung Dennis, Director of Campus Development and Management; YEUNG Hiu Yan, Associate Director of the Office of Research and Knowledge Transfer; Shen Tingting, Head of the Office of National Engagement; and Li Zhuoyu, Senior Administrative Officer of the Office of National Engagement.

Vice President Yao Xin warmly welcomed the delegation and introduced LU’s distinctive strengths in liberal arts education, which integrates humanities and sciences in the digital age, as well as its achievements in data science, interdisciplinary research, and campus planning. Vice President Chen Keqing expressed gratitude for the hospitality and shared insights into Yunnan University’s academic heritage, disciplinary strengths, and experiences in campus development and logistics management.

The two sides engaged in in-depth discussions on potential collaboration in research, talent exchange, campus planning, and asset and logistics management, exchanging institutional best practices and exploring pathways for future cooperation.
