Three-dimensional Point Source Localization based on Point Spread Function Analytics
The inverse process of going from the 2D snapshot to the 3D positions of the point sources is a large-scale and highly ill-posed problem. We have developed novel and efficient AI algorithms for getting the locations and the intensity of the point sources accurately.
A major difficulty of traditional microscopes is that they cannot determine the depth position of a point source because its image is roughly the same above or below the focal plane.
Instead of taking thousands of 2D images to get 3D information of points, our technique uses only one 2D image to obtain the 3D information of all points.
