Welcome New Students of eBSCM Programme

Lingnan University’s Master of Science in eBusiness and Supply Chain Management (eBSCM) programme welcomed its new cohort with an orientation event on August 27, 2025.

Programme Director Professor Yan Aihua opened the session by outlining the programme’s key requirements and vision. She emphasized the importance of maintaining strong academic performance while actively gaining practical experience through internships and projects. Professor Yan encouraged students to develop critical soft skills, such as communication and leadership, and to embrace innovation and stepping outside their comfort zones in the AI era.

The event featured a cybersecurity workshop led by Chief Inspector Mr. Alvin, who presented real-case examples of common online scams—including phishing, fake customer support, and AI voice imitation. He shared essential tips for safeguarding personal information and verifying identities online, and advised students to remain calm and preserve evidence if targeted by fraud.

Additionally, students attended a library workshop and tour, where they learned about information retrieval, database use, and other available academic resources.

The eBSCM programme is dedicated to developing future leaders who are equipped with both theoretical knowledge and practical capabilities for the digital economy.
