Mr Ernest CHAN Chi-man

Mr Ernest CHAN Chi Man is the Vice-President (Administration) at Lingnan University. He provides strategic oversight, planning and optimisation of the University’s administrative resources and operations. Prior to joining Lingnan, Mr Chan was the Associate Vice President (Planning and Coordination) at the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology (HKUST). He was the Director of Government Relations of the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort before joining HKUST. Earlier in his career, Mr Chan served in the HKSAR Government as a member of the Administrative Officer Grade, holding various positions with policy responsibility in different bureaux.

Mr Chan is a seasoned professional administrator with versatile competency and diverse management experience from public, corporate and academic domains. His credential emphasises institutional planning with multiple areas of responsibilities transcending strategy setting, budgetary allocation, operational planning, crisis management, governance, cross-functional coordination as well as process streamlining and improvement. On the professional front, Mr Chan is a Certified Public Accountant from the State of New York, United States. He received a BSc degree in Accounting from the Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Business Administration from HKUST.
