Curriculum Arrangement

The DAIS programme at Lingnan University requires 57 credits for graduation, including 30 credits from coursework component (10 courses) and 27 credits from research thesis. The coursework includes four core courses, four application-driven courses, and two electives, providing a solid foundation in advanced AI technologies and methodologies. The research thesis involves producing an original thesis with checkpoints at the proposal, mid-term, and final stages.

DAIS offers both Chinese and English taught modes, differing in language and teaching format. Full-time students typically complete the programme in three years (up to five years), while part-time students take five years (up to seven years). This flexible structure accommodates personal and professional commitments, ensuring continuous progress through regular checkpoints.

Graduation Requirements

For graduation, students are required to accomplish the credit requirement. The minimum CGPA requirement for graduation will be 2.67 for conferment of the DAIS programme.

In addition to fulfilling the core graduation requirements, students must achieve innovative accomplishments including software Innovation or copyright, hardware design or innovation, invention patents, scholarly publications and industry-specific projects or reports, demonstrating the deep understanding and application of artificial intelligence technology.
