Professor XU Xinmeng

Prof. XU Xinmeng is currently a Research Assistant Professor in the Division of Artificial Intelligence, School of Data Science, Lingnan University, supported by LU Presidential Postdoctoral Research Fellowship (PPRF). He completed his PhD in Computer Science and Technology at Wuhan University, where his research focused on audio-visual speech enhancement for complex audio-visual environments. He previously received an MSc in Electronic Information Engineering from Trinity College Dublin and a BSc in Information Technology from Vaasa University of Applied Sciences. His research interests include audio-visual learning, multimodal representation, speech enhancement, and signal processing, with an emphasis on robust and efficient models for real-world conditions. He has published in venues such as Interspeech, ICASSP, AAAI, and ICLR, and in journals including Speech Communication, Neural Networks, and Information Fusion. Prior to his PhD, he worked on deployable speech processing and noise reduction in applied research and industry settings, including Peking University Shenzhen Graduate School and vivo.
