Dr. Lisha Yu earned her B.Math. in Actuarial Science and Statistics (Double Honors) and M.Math. in Statistics (Distinction) from the University of Waterloo, followed by a Ph.D. in Data Science from City University of Hong Kong. Her research interests focus on statistical learning, machine learning, and quality engineering, particularly in their applications in system monitoring and management. Her research integrates data science with domain-specific knowledge to enhance modeling and prediction, with the goal of knowledge discovery and quality improvement. Beyond her academic pursuits, she possesses rich industry experience in high-tech enterprises.
