Biography of Speaker
Ryan is a British EFL teacher who has a passion for Linguistics. After gaining a Bachelor's degree from the University of Sheffield, Ryan taught in mainland China for several years until returning to the UK to study for his Master's degree at the University of Birmingham in 2015. In recent years, he has developed online resources for both General and Academic English with the goal of spreading the joy of language learning across the world. Ryan enjoys getting to know students from all over the world and in his spare time takes pleasure in travelling both domestically and internationally.
At Lingnan, Ryan is a full-time lecturer as well as coordinator for the English Language Support Services (ELSS). His research interests include sound symbolism, phonetics, e-learning, VLEs and Chinese learners.
About the workshop
Mr. WINDSOR, Ryan will deliver a series of three workshops in October 2023 with the combined aim of enhancing awareness of and acquiring skills in the academic English writing style. Designed with a specific focus on postgraduate language skills, the workshops are well-suited for taught and research-focused students from a range of disciplines.
