The role of new technologies in the higher education sector is bound to intensify in the foreseeable future, with significant implications for teaching and learning. The rapid advancement of generative artificial intelligence and Large Language Models (LLM) is undeniably revolutionising higher education in ways that are yet to be fully understood. The 2024 Postgraduate Conference on Interdisciplinary Learning will deliberate on the critical role of new technologies in postgraduate research, teaching, and learning in the foreseeable future.

Consistent with previous Postgraduate Conferences hosted by the School of Graduate Studies, this conference shall offer a platform for research and taught postgraduate students across the globe to interact with each other and share their current and prospective research and learning experiences with established scholars. Invited speakers and students are encouraged to connect or draw implications from their papers for research impact creation and training.

The conference shall provide these opportunities for students:

  • Interdisciplinary and multidisciplinary approaches to postgraduate studies
  • Comparative and international research perspectives
  • Networking among students across disciplines and institutions, both within and outside of Hong Kong
  • Innovative approaches to doing postgraduate studies across disciplines in the new digital age
