Director's Message

Building on Lingnan University’s research strength in Chinese studies, the Advanced Institute for Global Chinese Studies was established in early 2022. "Global" in its name signifies the Institute’s dedication to promoting global scholarly exchange and collaboration.

Our competitive edge lies primarily in the superiority of our six serial publications and in the global synergy we have created with top institutions and scholars in founding and utilizing these publication venues.  We are thus well positioned to play a prominent role in promoting high-end and in-depth scholarly exchanges between China and Western academia, effectively contributing to the HKSAR government’s broader endeavors to make Hong Kong a hub of arts and cultural exchanges between China and the world.

Global impact is what the Institute strives to achieve by continuously leveraging its advanced, internationally recognized platforms of publication to continuously broaden and deepen collaboration with leading institutions and scholars all over the world.
