Dr. Maciej Kurzynski
馬傑 博士
Maciej Kurzynski received a PhD in Modern Chinese Literature and Culture from Stanford University. His research interests include digital humanities, cognitive literary studies, aesthetic theory, and affect theory. In his research and teaching, he draws inspiration from affective neuroscience and machine learning to experiment with texts and expand the traditional boundaries of literary studies. He is particularly interested in exploring how the recent advances in quantitative and cognitive sciences, such as vector semantics and embodied cognition, can supplement and contest the established genealogical paradigm in modern Chinese humanities.
