Lingnan Roundtable for Learning & Networking - U.S. Elections 2024: Impact on Global Economy

The Lingnan Roundtable organized by the Alumni Relations Team was successfully completed on 23 November 2024 afternoon with more than 30 participants including alumni and students. Ms. Jasmine Duan, a graduate of BBA Finance at Lingnan University and a Senior Investment Strategist at Royal Bank of Canada (RBC) Wealth Management, shared how the results of the 2024 U.S. presidential election may affect the global economy. By analyzing Trump's foreign and economic policies, tariffs, inflation, etc., she made forecasts on global economic growth, and did estimation on the U.S. and Asian stock market. Participants were all highly engaged in the event, raising questions and discussion proactively.
