Alumni Homecoming 2026 concludes successfully, weaving Lingnan memories on campus
Lingnan University held its annual alumni signature event, Alumni Homecoming 2026, on 18-19 July (Saturday and Sunday). Themed “My Lingnan Story”, the two-day event gathered over 230 alumni, along with their families and friends, back to the alma mater. Participants took part in a diverse lineup of activities including creative workshops, fun games, a campus hunt and hostel stayover, reminiscing about the fond old days while crafting brand-new precious memories.
The Opening Ceremony was graced by guests including Prof Raymond Chan, Vice-President (Academics) cum Provost and Lam Man Tsan Chair Professor of Scientific Computing; Mr Ernest Chan, Vice-President (Administration); Ms Jessie Law, Director of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs; alongside Mr Augustine Lui, Chairman of Lingnan Education Organization; Mr Terence Yu, Chairman of Lingnan University Alumni Association (Hong Kong) (LUAA); Ms Yilia Xu, Chairman of Lingnan University Postgraduate Alumni Association (LUPAA) and Ms Ella Lee, Chairperson of Lingnan University Undergraduate Alumni Association (LUUAA), as well as representatives from other alumni associations including Mr Liu Xin, President of Lingnan University Faculty of Business Alumni Association; Dr Zhang Weiping, President of Lingnan University DBA Alumni Association and Lingnan University Golf Club; and Mr Kenneth Lau, President of Lingnan University Christian Alumni Association. Together with the participants, they enjoyed wonderful student performance and hosted a lucky draw, demonstrating the strong solidarity within the University’s extensive alumni network.
This year’s Homecoming featured a rich programme of activities. Workshops spanned a variety of interests: cultural experiences such as latte art and tea culture appreciation; wellness and sports activities including yoga and pickleball; cutting-edge tech exploration covering AI image generation and 3D printing; handicraft workshops for omamori, handmade perfume and lip balm; plus a session led by a research team from the University’s Division of Science on building bee hotels, offering fun for participants of all ages. A campus hunt challenged alumni to rediscover iconic campus landmarks, during which participants retraced old footsteps, while witnessing the ongoing development of the University campus.
