Delegation of Lingnan Entrepreneurs Association visits Lingnan University

On 6 January 2026, a 50-member delegation of the Lingnan Entrepreneurs Association – comprising alumni of Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University, visited Lingnan University, and was warmly received by Mr Ernest Chan, Vice-President (Administration), and Ms Jessie Law, Director of the Office of Institutional Advancement and Alumni Affairs. The delegation was led by the Association’s President Ms Chai Wenjuan, Senior Advisor Professor Chu Xiaoping, and senior management of Lingnan College of Sun Yat-sen University, including College Dean Professor Lin Jianhao and College Secretary and Member of the Party Committee Dr Zhong Yibiao. Following a guided campus tour of the Fong Sum Wood Library and the Lingnan Entrepreneurship Initiative, both parties engaged in an in-depth exchange of ideas and discussions.

In his welcome remarks, Vice-President Chan emphasised that the two “Lingnans” share the same origin. He shared on the University’s latest international rankings, academic developments and achievements in research and innovation, and exchanged souvenirs with the Association and Lingnan College. The visit not only reaffirmed the longstanding ties between the parties, but also opened new avenues for collaborations in talent development and industry–academia-research partnerships, contributing to the advancement of the nation, the Greater Bay Area and Hong Kong.
