Enhancement of AC control + New Furniture

In addition to the improvements made in Computer Room 1, the Library has implemented several enhancements over the past few months.

We have equipped all desks with Public PCs and Macs with height-adjustable chairs to meet your ergonomic needs. Additionally, all Public PCs are now height and tilt adjustable, ensuring you can find the perfect setting for your comfort. If users have any special needs, you may also use our SEN Equipment which includes height adjustable desk as well.

 In collaboration with the Office of Campus Development and Maintenance (OCDM), we have relocated and installed local controls for the air conditioning system on the 1/F. With the new controls that are easily within the reach of the Library staff, this improvement facilitates us to provide an optimal environment for both our books and users.

The ideal temperature for preserving our book collections is around 21 degrees Celsius. By maintaining this stable temperature, we would target to balance the needs of book preservation and human comfort. But that's not all! In the coming months, we are taking another step by installing IoT sensors throughout the Library to monitor indoor conditions in real-time, helping us maintain an even better and more consistent environment for everyone.
