Library has listened to your voice of having comments on the seat hogging in the Library. We have been doing a pilot test on the seat occupancy sensor to monitor the usage of the our peak areas like the Late Reading Room and various study carrels.

The result is quite satisfactory and all users can know the occupancy status when they look for a seat.
Library plans to deploy more sensors to the Library and make the status information available on our website, so that you can know the usage before coming to the Library to save you some time and effort to look for a seat.
