Happy new semester! We hope you had a great summer break. We are thrilled to introduce a suite of new services and refreshed spaces to start the academic year. To both our new and returning students, our team remains fully committed to supporting your academic journey at Lingnan University.
While our recent video offered a quick overview of our collections, services, and facilities, we haven't stopped there. Over the summer, we upgraded compact shelving on 2/F and reorganised our entire journal collection to make finding study materials easier than ever.
Beyond physical spaces, our librarians are dedicated to enhancing your research capabilities using cutting-edge AI. We are excited to launch 1-Search Re(de)fine, powered by Google Gemini, which generates smart search terms to help you broaden or narrow your research results. Give it a try and let us know what you think! To top it off, we have expanded your checkout privileges so you can take full advantage of the extra resources you discover.
CIO & University Librarian at the New Student Orientation (NSO) 2026
For our researchers, our Research Support Librarians are eager to help amplify your research impact. We are excited to introduce the new beta SDG Mapping Tool, designed to help you map your manuscripts to the United Nations’ Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and better understand your contributions to global sustainability.
In addition, our team continues to build customised personal and institutional dashboards. These tools allow you to clearly visualise your research impact across multiple levels – from individual and departmental output to discipline-wide and university-wide performance.
